Classes
are held every weekday, at the Faculty
of Philosophy in Novi Sad (the Centre
for Serbian as a foreign Language).
Students are divided into groups according
to Serbian Language proficiency (basic
course, intermediate course, upper
intermediate course and advanced course).
The groups comprise 8 students maximum
in order to achieve the best working
conditions. One lesson lasts 45 minutes
and altogether 75 lessons (lectures
and practical tutorials) are scheduled
to cover (by their programme and volume)
one semester programme (3 ECTS Credits). |

At the end of the School, the Intarnational
Summer School issues a Certificate to
each student who has fulfilled all the
requirements of the School programme.
Regarding the fact that the curriculum
covers all the requirements for one
study term of Serbian Language, Literature,
culture and history the participants
may receive certificates in order to
get apporopriate credits at their home
universities. |

Besides the basic programme of the Summer
School, it is possible to organize unique,
specialized courses and workshops in
the fields of Serbian Language (phonology
and accentology, syntax and semantics,
lexicology and onomastics; history of
colloquial and literary Serbian, Old
Church-Slavonic and Serbian-Slavonic);
Serbian Literature (contemporary, folk/oral
and medieval Literature), Serbian history,
political sociology, economics as well
as folk songs and dances at the “Sonja
Marinkoviæ” Academic Cultural
Organization. Specialized courses run
for two weeks and are organized if requested
by at least 5 candidates. |
